The TAURUS machine of WALDRICH COBURG has convinced the jury in the categories technical utility, unique selling point as well as creativity and quality. Dr.-Ing. Thomas Beck mentioned in his laudatio: “The development of such a machine is surely a bold step into the future of the company.”
Klaus Bauer, head of WALDRICH COBURG design department, is satisfied: “Looking around the group of renowned participants, we are very proud to be the winner. We present a machine with technically high standards and, of course, with the traditional WALDRICH COBURG characteristics: high performance, precision and longevity. The attractive price of TAURUS is of great interest to a new range of customers, especially for small and medium-sized companies. Our machine has convinced the jury and magazine readers, this is an honor and motivation for further developments.”
For the second time, the leading industry magazine MM MaschinenMarkt has awarded the “Best of Industry Award” for outstanding industry innovations. The official ceremony took place in the Vogel Convention Center in Würzburg.
“Outstanding technology is the main criteria and the selection process takes several months. The team of the magazine MaschinenMarkt is looking for many product prizes worldwide and only products already awarded or at least nominated for a prize have a chance” emphasized Hans-Jürgen Kuntze, publisher of MM MaschinenMarkt. The “Best of Industry Award” demonstrates the innovative strength of the German machine tool industry.”
WALDRICH COBURG was winner in the category “machining” and Dr.-Ing. Thomas Beck, Managing Director Sales and Executive Director of company Kinkele GmbH & Co. KG /Ochsenfurt held the laudatio. “As all candidates were very close together in the readers‘ vote, the final decision was taken by the jury”, explained Dr. Beck. In comparison to the readers who voted in a ranking list, the jury members had to go through a comprehensive specification catalogue to get their own view.
The jury was made up of specialists from industry and research as well as of editors from MaschinenMarkt who rated the technical degree of innovation and the product’s benefit for industry, environment and society. More than 10,000 votes were casted during the voting period.
